January 18, 2019 – Bela Fleck

Béla Fleck & Abigail Washburn, “the king and queen of the banjo” (Paste Magazine), have a musical partnership like no other. The doors will open at 7:30pm and the show will begin at approximately 8:10pm. The beginning and end of a set is at the discretion of the performing act, although we contract them for a minimum set length. There is no seating available. This concert is STANDING ROOM ONLY. Jan 8-30, 2019 – Book Babies

Walkertown Branch Library is excited to offer a variety of programs for Kids and Teens in January. Kids (and accompanying caregivers) can come to Storytime, dance with us at Music and Movement, or have free coloring sheets! Teens can become volunteers or come play games. Come to watch a family friendly movie. Choose what interests you!

January 11-13, 2019 – Craft Beer Tasting

Carteret County’s first brewery, Mill Whistle Brewing is a one barrel brewery focused on exceptional craft beers. This Nano brewery produces just 31 gallons of beer in a batch. By focusing on small batches of beer, Mill Whistle has been able to produce a wide variety of styles of beer. Enjoy locally-inspired ales and IPA’s. Mill whistle Brewing is on the site of the 100-year-old Safrit Lumber Mill. While this mill closed in the 70s, the lumber yard next door is still in operation today.
