A huge fireworks display.

July 4th is right around the corner, which means it’s time to set your plans for America’s birthday! Luckily, if you live in Forsyth County, you’ll have a variety of fun and exciting options to choose from.

From the fireworks to the food, Winston-Salem and the greater Forsyth County community are great places to spend Independence Day. In fact, here are three fun events to look forward to this 4th of July.

Fourth of July with the Dash

What’s the best way to see the fireworks in Winston-Salem? At the annual Fourth of July with the Dash! Head over to the BB&T Ballpark for a game of baseball and an extended fireworks show.

First pitch begins at 6:30, with a stunning fireworks show to follow the game. This is one of our favorite 4th of July events, so we hope to see you there!

Salem Band Stars & Stripes Concert

Large group of people at the park.

This free concert in Salem Square honors the veterans in our community with patriotic music. It’s performed by the Salem Band, a legend in the local community that’s been around since 1771. In fact, it’s the oldest continuous mixed wind ensemble in the country.

Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and spend your 4th of July in a beautiful setting. Food vendors will be on site!

Kernersville 4th of July Parade & 5K

Looking for some small-town fun this 4th of July? The Kernersville Rotary Club is hosting their annual 4th of July Parade and 5K! Kernersville veterans lead the parade, which begins at 9 a.m. at KES and end around 10:30 a.m. on Broad Street.

At 8:30 a.m., just before the parade is set to begin, the 5K will start along the same route! This way, the parade follows the runners—cheering them on as they complete their race.
